Order of the Council in Disciplinary Session Order in Respect of Andrew Ross Lowrie, Registered Comprehensive Nurse After due inquiry and in exercise of its powers under sections 42 (1) (a), 42 (2) (a), 42 (9), 42 (3), 48a and 23 (2) of the Nurses Act 1977, following conviction under section 133 of the Crimes Act 1961, the Nursing Council of New Zealand (``the council'') in a decision dated 20 January 1999, ordered that the name of Andrew Ross Lowrie be removed from the register of comprehensive nurses. The council declined to fix a time after which he may apply to have his name restored to the register. The council also ordered that he pay 50 percent of the total costs and expenses of and incidental to the inquiry by the council which amounted to $3,829.20; that a notice stating the effect of these orders be published in the New Zealand Gazette, Kai Tiaki : Nursing New Zealand and daily national newspapers and that he return to the Registrar all certificates and badges issued to him under the Nurses Act 1977.
