The Traffic (Waimakariri District) Notice No. 4, 1999 Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 and under and by way of powers delegated to me by the Minister of Transport in an instrument of delegation dated 9 June 1997, I, John Paul Edgar, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice. N o t i c e (1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waimakariri District) Notice No. 4, 1999. (2) The area specified in the First Schedule is declared to be a closely populated locality at all times for the purposes of section 52 (1) (c) of the Transport Act 1962. (3) The roads specified in the Second Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976. (4) The roads specified in the Third Schedule are excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, pursuant to section 52 (2) of the Transport Act 1962. (5) The Traffic (Waimakariri District) Notice No. 2, 1999* is revoked. Flaxton Road: from Lineside Road to a point 450 metres measured southerly, generally, from Lineside Road. Millton Avenue: from Ashley Street to a point measured 150 metres north westerly, generally, from Ashley Street. Oxford Road: from a point 200 metres measured westerly from West Belt to a point 600 metres measured westerly, generally, from West Belt. River Road: from Ashley Street to a point 20 metres measured westerly, generally, from West Belt. Todds Road: from Ellis Road to a point 640 metres measured south westerly, generally, from Ellis Road. Third Schedule SITUATED within Waimakariri District at Rangiora Boys Road: from Newnham Street to a point 650 metres measured easterly, generally, from the eastern side of the Main North Railway. Coldstream Road: from East Belt to a point 500 metres measured easterly, generally, from East Belt. East Belt: from a point 150 metres measured northerly, generally, from Wales Street to a point 440 metres measured northerly, generally, from Coldstream Road. Johns Road: from West Belt to a point 350 metres measured westerly, generally, from West Belt. Marsh Road: from a point 270 metres measured easterly, generally, from Railway Road to a point 730 metres measured easterly, generally, from Railway Road. Northbrook Road: from East Belt to a point 480 metres measured easterly, generally, from East Belt. Oxford Road: from a point 600 metres measured westerly, generally, from West Belt to Brick Kiln Road.
