The Traffic (Gisborne District) Notice 1999 Pursuant to section 52 (1) (c) and 52 (3) of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, John Paul Edgar, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice: N o t i c e (1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Gisborne District) Notice 1999. (2) Those localities and roads within markings identified in the legend of and appearing on the plans numbered: LT9927/1 of 5, entitled ``Speed Restriction Zones Gisborne City, Wainui, Okitu, Makaraka, and Makorori''; and LT9927/2 of 5, entitled ``Speed Restriction Zones Patutahi, Ormond, Manutuke, and Waihirere''; and LT9927/3 of 5, entitled ``Speed Restriction Zones Matawai and Te Karaka''; and LT9927/4 of 5, entitled ``Speed Restriction Zones Tologa Bay, Tokomaru Bay, Te Puia Springs and Ruatoria''; and LT9927/5 of 5, entitled ``Speed Restriction Zones Tikitiki, Te Araroa and Hicks Bay''; and held by the Head Office of the Land Transport Safety Authority are declared to be closely populated localities at all times, pursuant to section 52 (1) (c) of the Transport Act 1962; except where declared: (a) as 70 kilometres an hour speed areas or limited speed zones pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976; or (b) as excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 (1) Transport Act 1962; as may be ascertained from the legend.
