Notice of Proposed Land Transport (Driver Licensing) Amendment Rule 1999 The Land Transport Safety Authority (LTSA), in accordance with section 161(2) of the Land Transport Act 1998, gives notice that draft Land Transport (Driver Licensing) Amendment Rule 1999 (Rule 91001/1) is available for public comment. This draft legislation is intended to amend Land Transport (Driver Licensing) Rule 1999, which sets out the requirements for obtaining and renewing a driver licence, and for driver licensing service providers. Land Transport (Driver Licensing) Amendment Rule 1999 proposes changes relating, in particular, to Passenger (P) endorsements and to the types of documentation that are acceptable as primary identification for obtaining a driver licence. Further proposed changes are discussed in an accompanying policy paper.
