The Traffic (Rangitikei District) Notice 1999 Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, John Paul Edgar, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice: N o t i c e (1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Rangitikei District) Notice 1999. (2) Those localities and roads shown within markings identified in the legend of and appearing on the plans numbered: LT9938/1 of 4, entitled ``Rangitikei District Speed Restriction Notice at Taihape''; and LT9938/2 of 4, entitled ``Rangitikei District Speed Restriction Notices at Koitiata, Mangaweka, Ratana, Scott's Ferry and Turakina''; and LT9938/3 of 4, entitled ``Rangitikei District Speed Restriction Notices at Marton''; and LT9938/4 of 4, entitled ``Rangitikei District Speed Restriction Notices at Bulls and Hunterville'': held by the head office of the Land Transport Safety Authority, are declared to be closely populated localities at all times, pursuant to section 52 (1) (c) of the Transport Act 1962; except where declared: (a) as 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas or limited speed zones pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976; or (b) excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, pursuant to section 52 (2) of the Transport Act 1962, as may be ascertained from the legend. The plans and legends are hereby incorporated into this notice. (3) This notice revokes and is in substitution for all previous traffic notices issued pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, regulation 27a of the Traffic Regulations 1956, section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, and section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 1936, for Rangitikei District, Rangitikei County, Marton Borough and Taihape Borough.
