Notice of Granting of an Open Aviation Market Licence and Variation of a Scheduled International Air Service Licence Pursuant to sections 87u (4) and 87q (4) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990 and a delegation from the Secretary for Transport dated 28 August 1996, I give notice that, having received an application from Malaysia Airline System Berhad, of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, I have: (a) granted that airline an open aviation market licence to carry on scheduled services and non-scheduled flights in accordance with the 16 June 1998 Air Services Agreement Between the Government of New Zealand and the Government of Malaysia, for an indefinite term with effect from 1 October 1998; and (b) varied the scheduled international air service licence granted to the airline to provide for that licence to expire on 30 September 1998.
