Notice of Order for Suspension of Practitioner M. 144/98 In the matter of the Law Practitioners Act 1982 Pursuant to section 119 of the Law Practitioners Act 1982, notice is hereby given that on the 15th day of September 1997, the New Zealand Law Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal ordered as follows: 1. That the name of Matiu Dickson be suspended from practice as a barrister or as a solicitor, or as both, for a period of 2 years from the 15th day of September 1997. 2. That Matiu Dickson pay to the New Zealand Law Society the sum of $3,000 towards the costs and expenses of the inquiry by this tribunal. 3. That Matiu Dickson pay to the Waikato Bay of Plenty District Law Society the sum of $3,000 towards the costs and expenses of the inquiry by that society.
