Order of the Council in Disciplinary Session Order in Respect of Registered Comprehensive Nurse Tonia U'Dell Forbes After due inquiry and in exercise of its powers under sections 42 (1) (b), 42 (2) (a), 42 (9), 42 (3), 48a and 23 (2) of the Nurses Act 1977, the Nursing Council of New Zealand (``the council''), in a decision dated 24 December 1997, ordered that the name of Tonia U'Dell Forbes be removed from the register of comprehensive nurses. The council declined to fix a time after which she may apply to have her name restored to the register. The council also ordered that she pay $11,250.00 towards the costs and expenses of and incidental to the investigation by the Preliminary Proceedings Committee and inquiry by the council; that a notice stating the effect of these orders be published in the New Zealand Gazette, Kai Tiaki : Nursing New Zealand and the Christchurch Press and that she return to the Registrar all certificates and badges issued to her under the Nurses Act 1977.
