New Zealand School of Dance Notice of Application for Approval of a Scheme Under the Charitable Trusts Act 1957 In the matter of an application by the trustees of the New Zealand School of Dance, being a charitable trust established under the Charitable Trusts Act, to vary its trust deed: Take notice that on Monday, the 4th day of May 1998 at 10.00 a.m., the trustees of the New Zealand School of Dance will apply to the High Court at Wellington for orders approving a scheme varying its trust deed. The trustees seek to vary the provisions of the trust deed to facilitate the carrying out of objects of the trust by: 1. Broadening the objects of the trust to reflect the change of curriculum and activities of the New Zealand School of Dance. 2. Introducing a provision enabling the trustees to alter the trust deed, provided that the charitable nature of the trust's objects is not prejudiced. 3. Broadening the trustees' powers to enable the trustees to better manage the affairs of the trust and in particular to enable the trustees to guarantee a commercial bank facility which will fund improved facilities for the New Zealand School of Dance.
