The Traffic (Franklin District) Notice 1997 Pursuant to sections 52 (1) (c) and 52 (3) of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand, dated 9 June 1997, I, John Paul Edgar, Manager, Safer Roads and Rail, give the following notice: N o t i c e (1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Franklin District) Notice 1997. (2) The localities specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities at all times for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962. (3) The road specified in the Second Schedule is declared to be a 70 kilometre an hour speed limit area, pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976. (4) The following notices are revoked: (a) The Traffic (Franklin County) Notice 1969*. (b) Those parts of The Traffic (Franklin District) Notice No. 1, 1992 which relate to roads in the First Schedule. (c) That part of The Traffic (Franklin District) Notice No. 1, 1994 which relates to the road in the Third Schedule. First Schedule SITUATED within Franklin District at Hunua: Lockwood Road. SITUATED within Franklin District at Kaiaua: East Coast Road: from a point 700 metres measured southerly, generally along East Coast Road from Kaiaua Road to a point 805 metres measured northerly, generally along East Coast Road from Kaiaua Road. Kaiaua Road: from a point 260 metres measured westerly, generally along Kaiaua Road from East Coast Road to East Coast Road. Kowhai Avenue. Lipscombe Road. Pohutukawa Avenue. Puriri Avenue. Second Schedule SITUATED within Franklin District at Paerata and Pukekohe: State Highway No. 22 (RuncimanTuakau): from a point 600 metres measured northerly, generally along the State highway from Kayes Road to a point 430 metres measured north-westerly, generally along the State highway from Crown Road.
