Bylaw Prohibiting Fishing From Bridges on State Highways Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, Transit New Zealand hereby makes the following bylaw: B y l a w 1. Title and commencement This bylaw may be cited as Transit New Zealand (Fishing From Bridges) Bylaw 1997/6 and shall come into force 28 days after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette. 2. Prohibition on fishing from bridges Fishing from bridges is prohibited on the sections of State highway described in the Schedule to this bylaw. Schedule 1. The Waitahanui Bridge (at Route Position 617/9.41) on State Highway No. 1 approximately 8 kilometres south of Taupo. 2. The Paremata Bridge on State Highway No. 1 (at Route Position 953/15.27). 3. The Wairoa Bridge on State Highway No. 2 (at Route Position 140/6.24), north of Tauranga. 4. The Hairini Bridge on State Highway No. 2 (at Route Position 140/15.20), at Tauranga. 5. The Maungatapu Bridge (eastern side only) on State Highway No. 2 (at Route Position 158/2.10), at Tauranga. This bylaw was made by resolution passed at a meeting of Transit New Zealand held in Wellington on the 2nd day of April 1997. Dated at Wellington this 13th day of May 1997.
