Regulatory Sign Pursuant to regulation 129 (6) of the Traffic Regulations, and a delegation from the Director of Land Transport, dated the 18th day of December 1996, I, John Paul Edgar, Manager, Safer Roads and Rail, approve the erection, installation and maintenance of general Regulatory Signs, as described in the Schedule for the control of traffic by a person authorised by regulation 122 of the Traffic Regulations 1976. Schedule 1. Description of Traffic Signs In this Schedule the general regulatory signs must be: (a) in accordance with the following: 1. Shape and Size: Be rectangular, not less than 600 mm wide and 600 mm high, and sufficient to comfortably accommodate the legend. 2. Background Colour: White background. 3. Border: Red reflective border 25 mm wide. 4. Lettering: Contain such words as are necessary to convey the restriction, prohibition or direction to traffic in letters. The letters must be black, not smaller than 100 mm height and 14 mm stroke width. (b) designed in accordance with the following guideline in terms of legibility: 1.
