Declaration That Land be Held for Conservation Purposes Together With a Declaration That Parts of the Land be Reserves for Recreation and Esplanade Purposes, Classification of the Reserves and Vesting of the Esplanade Reserve in The Western Bay of Plenty District Council and Appointment of the Said Council to Control and Manage the Recreation Reserve The Minister of Conservation, acting pursuant to section 7 (1A) of the Conservation Act 1987, hereby declares that the lands described in the First and Second Schedules hereto, are held for conservation purposes and, pursuant to section 8 (1A) of the said Act, hereby declares that the land described in the First and Second Schedules to be reserves, subject to the Reserves Act 1977, and classified as local purpose (esplanade) and recreation reserves respectively, and further, pursuant to section 26 of the Reserves Act 1977, vests the local purpose (esplanade) reserve described in the First Schedule hereto, in The Western Bay of Plenty District Council, in trust for that purpose, and further, pursuant to section 28 of the Reserves Act 1977, appoints the said council to control and manage the recreation reserve described in the Second Schedule hereto.
