Bylaw Fixing the Maximum Speed of Vehicles on Parts of State Highway No. 5 and State Highway No. 30 at Rotorua Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, Transit New Zealand makes the following bylaw: B y l a w 1. This bylaw may be cited as Transit New Zealand Bylaw 1996/22. 2. This bylaw shall come into force immediately. 3. In this bylaw ``motor vehicle'' has the meaning assigned to it in section 2 (1) of the Transport Act 1962. 4. No person shall drive a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 80 kilometres per hour on the following sections of State highway at Rotorua: (a) State Highway No. 5 from a point measured 100 metres west of the Ngongotaha Roundabout (at RP 30/14.42) in an easterly, then southerly direction for a distance of 2.01 kilometres to a point measured 520 metres north of Barnard Road (at RP 30/16.43). (b) State Highway No. 5 (Old Taupo Road) from a point measured 630 metres south of Moncur Drive (at RP 50/3.38) proceeding in a south-easterly direction to the intersection of State Highways No. 5 and 30 (at Old Taupo Road and Hemo Road), then proceeding south on the common section of State Highways No. 5 and 30 (Hemo Road) to a point (at RP 54/0.28) measured 280 metres south of the Old Taupo Road and Hemo Road intersection. (c) State Highway No. 30 (Hemo Road) from the intersection with State Highway No. 5 (Hemo Road and Old Taupo Road at RP 144/0.00) proceeding in a north-easterly direction to a point (at RP 144/0.720), measured 720 metres north-east of the intersection of Hemo Road and Old Taupo Road. 5. Paragraph 4 (a) in the Fourth Schedule of Transit New Zealand Bylaw 1996/5 is hereby revoked. This bylaw is made by delegated authority from the Transit New Zealand Authority.
