The Traffic (Waimate District) Notice 1996 Pursuant to section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, and to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and to a delegation from the Minister of Transport, dated 31 August 1990, I, Grant Stewart Ellis Milne, Secretary for Transport, give the following notice: N o t i c e (1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waimate District) Notice 1996. (2) The roads specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities at all times for the purposes of section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962. (3) The roads specified in the Second Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976. (4) That part of the Second Schedule to the Traffic (Waimate District) Notice No. 1, 1981*, which relates to roads situated within Waimate County at Saint Andrews, is revoked. First Schedule Situated within Waimate District at Saint Andrews: Blue Cliffs Road: from its eastern end to a point 330 metres measured westerly, generally, from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff). Thackeray Street. Eliot Street. Hall Street. Braddon Street: from Blue Cliffs Road to a point 280 metres measured southerly, generally, from Blue Cliffs Road. Second Schedule Situated within Waimate District at Saint Andrews: No. 1 State Highway: (Awanui-Bluff), from a point 360 metres measured northerly, generally, along the said State highway from Blue Cliffs Road to a point 320 metres measured southerly, generally, along the said State highway from Thackeray Street. Blue Cliffs Road: from a point 330 metres measured westerly, generally, from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to a point 650 metres measured westerly, generally, from the said State highway.
