District Court Judge Appointed Pursuant to section 5 of the District Courts Act 1947 and section 5 (1) of the Family Courts Act 1980, Her Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint Brian Patrick Callaghan, barrister and solicitor of Christchurch to be a District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction in New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the Family Court.
