LPG Fuel System Variation of Approval Pursuant to regulation 90d of the Traffic Regulations 1976 and to powers delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport Safety, I, Hugh Cameron Matheson, Senior Automotive Engineer, hereby vary the approval given in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 112, page 2632, 30 June 1988, ``LPG Fuel System Approvals'' in respect of certain LPG fuel system components as specified in the First Schedule. From 1 January 1995, all containers as specified in the First Schedule below shall cease to be approved components of any alternative fuel system. Containers as specified in the First Schedule which are installed in vehicles on 1 January 1995, will only be permitted to remain fitted until the first LPG periodic inspection or Warrant of Fitness inspection or Certificate of Fitness inspection for the vehicle which falls due after 1 January 1995 (whichever inspection falls due first) at which time the container/s must be removed from the vehicle and promptly delivered to an Authorised Cylinder Testing Station to be rendered unserviceable. No LPG Inspection Certificate or Warrant of Fitness or Certificate of Fitness is to be issued to any motor vehicle which is fitted with any container specified in the First Schedule below after 1 January 1995.
