Determination of the Constitution of the Council of Te Wananga O Raukawa Pursuant to Section 169 (3) of the Education Act 1989, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice. N o t i c e 1. The Council of Te Wananga o Raukawa shall be as follows: (a) Four members appointed by the Minister of Education. (b) The Tumuaki (Chief Executive Officer) of Te Wananga o Raukawa. (c) One permanent member of the academic staff of Te Wananga o Raukawa elected by the permanent members of the staff. (d) One permanent member of the general staff of Te Wananga o Raukawa elected by the permanent members of the staff. (e) One member nominated by each of the three iwi concerned (namely Ngati Raukawa, Ngati Toa and Te Ati Awa). (f) One member appointed by the Council of the Victoria University of Wellington. (g) One member appointed by the Massey University Council. (h) Two members who are or have been students elected by those on the rolls of current and former students, or by a body representative of them. (i) One member nominated by the Otaki and Porirua Trusts Board. (j) One member nominated by the Kapiti District Council. (k) One member nominated by the Purutanga Mauri Group (Senior Scholars of the Wananga). 2. Subject to section 171 (1) of the Education Act 1989, the constitution of the Council may include members by co-option. 3. Subject to section 173 of the Education Act 1989, the maximum term for any member, other than the Chief Executive Officer, shall be 5 terms each of 4 years. 4.
