Classification of Medicines Pursuant to section 106 (1) of the Medicines Act 1981, the Minister of Health hereby declares the medicines listed in Schedules one, two and four to this notice to have the classifications prescription medicine, restricted medicine and general sale medicine respectively. First Schedule Prescription Medicines amethocaine; for ophthalmological use; except when used by a registered optometrist for the purpose of facilitating the examination of the eye cabergoline fluvastatin mivacurium chloride nicotine; for nasal administration proxymetacaine; for ophthalmological use; except when used by a registered optometrist for the purpose of facilitating the examination of the eye recombinant human DNase tropicamide; for ophthalmological use; except when used by a registered optometrist for the purpose of facilitating the examination of the eye Second Schedule Restricted Medicines metoclopramide; when compounded with paracetamol and in a pack size of not more than 10 tablets or capsules sodium cromoglycate; for ophthalmological use Fourth Schedule General Sale Medicines cholecalciferol; in medicines containing 25 micrograms or less per recommended daily dose potassium citrate; for oral rehydration therapy.
