Notice of Application for Approval of a Scheme Under Part III of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957 Notice is hereby given that the trustees of the Butland Music Foundation, wish to vary the terms and alter the administration of the trust. By the trust deed established on the 25th day of October 1963, the trustees were to invest 20,000 and apply the income to assist and encourage the musical studies of persons of exceptional talent by enabling them to undertake studies and gain experience within and beyond New Zealand. To be eligible for a grant the applicant must have inter alia been recommended by the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council. The annual income of the trust is now inadequate to provide any reasonable contribution to possible beneficiaries. The trust fund as at the 31st day of March 1993 was $64,744.82 with an income of $3,000. The trustee proposes to transfer the trust fund from the existing trustees to the Arts Council for use in conjunction with existing Arts Council Trust property and grants. The application has been set down for hearing in the High Court at Auckland on Friday, the 26th day of August 1994 at 10.30 a.m. Any person desiring to oppose the scheme is required to give written notice of his or her intention to do so, to the Registrar of the High Court of Auckland, to the trustees of the Butland Music Foundation, and the Attorney General (via the Crown Law Office, P.O.
