Classification of Medicines Pursuant to section 106 (1) of the Medicines Act 1981, the Minister of Health hereby declares the medicines listed in Schedules one, two, three and four to this notice to have the classifications prescription medicine, restricted medicine, pharmacy-only medicine and general sale medicine respectively. First Schedule Prescription Medicines Adapalene Amorolfine hydrochloride Azelaic acid Benazepril Cefpirome; and its salts Gadodiamide Paclitaxel Propafenone hydrochloride Sertraline hydrochloride Tretinoin Second Schedule Restricted Medicines Aspirin; in slow release forms; and in enteric coated forms containing more than 300 mg per dose form Ciclopirox; for dermatological use in medicines containing more than 1% of ciclopirox Nicotine; for nasal use Third Schedule Pharmacy-Only Medicines Ciclopirox; for dermatological use in medicines containing 1% or less of ciclopirox Fourth Schedule General Sale Medicines Aspirin; in enteric coated forms containing 300 mg or less per dose form Gentian compound concentrated infusion Tars; coal and wood.
