Pursuant to the Legislation Act 2019 and section 192A(2) of the Fisheries Act 1996, the Director-General, after complying with section 192A of the Fisheries Act 1996, gives the following notice.

1. Title

This notice is the Fisheries (Exemption from Compliance with the Fisheries Act 1996) Notice 2024.

2. Commencement

This notice comes into force on 25 March 2024.

3. Exemption from section 192A(1) of the Fisheries Act 1996

The New Zealand Institute for Plant and Food Research Limited (company number 547965, licence FW208) is exempt from compliance with section 192A(1) of the Fisheries Act 1996 in respect of snapper (Chrysophrys auratus).

4. Expiry

This notice expires on 25 March 2025.
