Pursuant to section 72 of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Lianne Audrey Dalziel, terminate the state of local emergency declared at 2.30pm on 20 February 2018 for the Christchurch district owing to the potential risks to people and property throughout Christchurch and Banks Peninsula from ex-tropical cyclone Gita.

The termination of the state of local emergency takes effect immediately on the making of this declaration.
