Notice of Intention to Cease to Carry on Business in New Zealand

Pursuant to section 341(1)(a) of the Companies Act 1993, RIO TINTO MINING AND EXPLORATION LIMITED (“the company”) hereby gives notice that it intends to cease to carry on business in New Zealand.

Removal of the company from the Overseas Register will have no impact on any other Rio Tinto businesses operating in New Zealand.
