Notice of Sports Anti-Doping Rules (2016)

The Board of Drug Free Sport New Zealand has made the Sports Anti-Doping Rules (2016) (“2016 Rules”) under section 16 of the Sports Anti-Doping Act 2006.

The 2016 Rules amend the Sports Anti-Doping Rules (2015)* and incorporate revised World Anti-Doping Agency International Standards.

The 2016 Rules incorporate by reference the following World Anti-Doping Agency International Standards:

  1. World Anti-Doping Agency 2016 List of Prohibited Substances and Methods;
  2. World Anti-Doping Agency 2015 International Standard for Therapeutic Use Exemptions;
  3. World Anti-Doping Agency 2015 International Standard for Testing and Investigations;
  4. World Anti-Doping Agency 2015 International Standard for Laboratories; and
  5. World Anti-Doping Agency 2015 International Standard for the Protection of Privacy and Personal Information.

The 2016 Rules and the material incorporated by reference can be inspected free of charge during normal working hours at Drug Free Sport New Zealand, Level 3, Building 5, 666 Great South Road, Ellerslie, Auckland.

The Sports Anti-Doping Rules (2016) come into force on 1 January 2016.
