Pursuant to section 8 of the National Animal Identification and Tracing Act 2012, the Minister for Primary Industries gives the following notice.
N o t i c e
1. Title-This notice is the National Animal Identification and Tracing (Designation of Entity to be the National Animal Identification and Tracing Organisation) Notice 2013.
2. Commencement-This notice comes into effect upon notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
3. Interpretation-In this notice:
Act means the National Animal Identification and Tracing Act 2012.
NAIT organisation means the organisation designated as the NAIT organisation by the Minister under
section 8 of the Act.
NAIT Limited or National Animal Identification
and Tracing (NAIT) Limited means the company incorporated under Company No. 2481213.
4. NAIT Limited to be designated the National Animal Identification and Tracing Organisation-(1) NAIT Limited is designated as the NAIT organisation for the purposes of the Act.
(2) NAIT Limited must begin to perform the functions and duties, and exercise the powers, of the NAIT Organisation from 1 June 2013.
