Session in Respect of Karen Blanche Gauthier, Registered Nurse
Pursuant to sections 42 (2), 42 (3) and 48A of the Nurses Act 1977, the Nursing Council of New Zealand (“the council”), in a decision dated 7 October 2005, ordered that the name of Karen Blanche Gauthier, registered nurse, be removed from the Register, and declined to set a time when she might apply for reinstatement.
The council also ordered that Karen Blanche Gauthier
pay $6,950.00 (being 40%) of the actual costs and expenses of and incidental to the inquiry by the preliminary proceedings committee and council and that a notice stating the effect of the orders be published in the New Zealand Gazette, Kai Tiaki: Nursing New Zealand and the council’s newsletter, and released to accredited members of the media on request.
