Appointment of an Administering Body for the Rakiura Titi (Muttonbird) Islands

In accordance with clause 13.6.3 of the Ngai Tahu Deed
of Settlement and section 336 of the Ngai Tahu Claims Settlement Act 1998, the Minister of Conservation hereby appoints an administering body, consisting of nine persons elected by Rakiura Maori and one Rakiura Maori nominated by Te Runanga o Ngai Tahu, to control and manage the Rakiura Titi Islands (formerly known as the Crown Titi Islands).
The term of appointment is five years from 22 February 2004.
A hui to elect the administering body for the Rakiura
Titi Islands was held on the Murihiku Marae, Tramway Road, Invercargill, on Sunday, 22 February 2004, pursuant to clause 13.6.3 of the Ngai Tahu Deed of Settlement and section 336 of the Ngai Tahu Claims Settlement Act 1998.
The administering body is to be formally known as the Rakiura Titi Island Administering Body.
