The Board of Skill New Zealand - Pukenga Aotearoa, pursuant to section 8 of the Industry Training Act 1992, afforded provisional recognition to Sport Fitness and Recreation Industry Training Organisation (SFRITO) Limited to set standards at Levels 1 to 8 on the National Qualifications Framework for the sport fitness and recreation industry including the planning, management, promotion and delivery of sport, fitness, community recreation, outdoor recreation and ski industries, for a period of six months effective from 18 December 2002.
