Fees Payable to the Medical Council of New Zealand Pursuant to section 126 of the Medical Practitioners Act 1995, the council gives notice that the following fees are payable (all include G.S.T.), effective from 1 April 1999 until the end of the financial year 31 March 2000: A. REGISTRATION FEES On application for assessment of eligibility for probationary or general registration $100.00 For admission to interim, probationary or general registration $800.00 For re-registration (probationary or general) $800.00 For temporary registration for the purpose of: * [ix]giving postgraduate instruction (class 1) [ci] Nil * [ix]obtaining postgraduate training or experience or carrying out research (class 2)[ci] $800.00 * [ix]providing services in special circumstances approved by the Council (class 3)[ci] $800.00 On application for assessment of eligibility for vocational registration: * [ix]Interview[ci] $1,000.00 * [ix]NZSPEX Written and/or Clinical Evaluation [ws]maximum[ci] $3,050.00 On application for vocational registration $180.00 On admission to vocational registration $198.00 For provision of the following certificates: Interim or extension $33.00 Registration (or copy) $33.00 Standing (or copy) $33.00 Any other document certifying registration status or standing $33.00 Annual Practising Certificate (APC) or interim APC $575.00 Duplicate APC $33.00 B. DISCIPLINARY LEVY $125.00 C. [ix]CONTRIBUTION TO MENTORING COSTS (18 month programme)[ci] $2,025.00 D. NEW ZEALAND REGISTRATION EXAMINATION (NZREX) Whole NZREX Clinical (and repeat) $2,250.00 Repeat of separate disciplines: [ix]Long case $1,100.00 Short case[ci] $550.00 Key to Annotations This fee is reduced to $515 if interim certificate commences between 1 October and 31 March. This fee is reduced to $225 if application is for a total period of less than 4 months in New Zealand. This fee may be accepted on a quarterly basis ($200 per quarter) if appointments are made only on that basis. Fee includes disciplinary levy ($125.00) Fee includes annual practising certificate fee ($450.00) and disciplinary levy ($125.00) APC (including disciplinary levy) is reduced to $290 if issued on or after 1 October. Fee not refundable if application declined. The council may grant a waiver or refund of part or all of this fee. Refund may be issued if shorter programme recommended.
